▸Will WebP look the same as my JPG?
Yes. We use quality 88 by default which is visually indistinguishable from the JPG source for almost all photos. The file is just smaller because WebP uses better compression.
▸Is WebP supported by all browsers?
Every major browser (Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox, Opera) has supported WebP since 2020. Search engines also fully index WebP images.
▸Does this strip my image metadata?
Yes — EXIF, location, and camera data are stripped during conversion, which is good for privacy and shaves a few more KB off the file size.
▸Are my photos uploaded to your servers?
Files are sent to our server, converted, and the result returned to you. We do not save them — they live in memory for the duration of one request and are then discarded.
▸How big a file can I convert?
